Q1 2021 Performance of Top Theme Parks Apps on iOS in Australia

The first quarter of 2021 has seen varying performances from the top theme parks applications on the iOS platform in Australia. As per data from Sensor Tower, we take a glance at how these apps fared in terms of downloads and weekly active users.

Starting with Village Roadshow Theme Parks, the app experienced a high of over 10K downloads in the last week of December 2020, which tapered off to around 4K by the end of March 2021. Weekly active users started at approximately 22K and saw a slight decrease to around 17K over the same period.

SeaWorld showed a more modest number of downloads, peaking at 203 in the last week of December and falling to just 22 by the end of March. The weekly active users reflected a similar trend, starting at 137 and dropping to 26.

My Disney Experience brought in revenue with figures ranging from $20 to $52 weekly, alongside a fluctuating download rate that peaked at 65 in mid-January and ended the quarter at 33. The active users began at over 400 and had a slight dip to just below 300 by quarter's end.

Disneyland® also generated revenue, with a weekly income that hovered around the $10 to $20 mark. Downloads for the app peaked at 43 in mid-January and saw a dip to 17 by the end of March. Weekly active users began at 693 and experienced a decline to 498.

Lastly, Play Disney Parks had a humble number of downloads, with the highest at 56 in mid-January, and maintained a level of 15 by the end of March. Active users data was only available for select weeks, showing a peak at 70 in mid-January and stabilizing at 10 by the end of March.
